Overview
A HD+ IPS DotDrop monitor is available for Redmi 9A, 6.53-inch (1600 x 720p). However, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 was shielded from the Redmi 8 light. On the back of the Redmi9A, Redmi has raised the camera further up to the top left corner. But there's no mention of protective glass. You can see a strip running along the length of the unit from the camera module. There is no fingerprint sensor in the rest of the frame. The back looks clean. The Redmi 9A is equipped by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G25 SoC, which is based on the 12 nm process and combined with the IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU. It is a completely new chipset under the MediaTek gaming-focused G-series. The smartphone comes with 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage, which can be expanded via a microSD card slot (up to 512 GB).
Coming to the camera, the Redmi 9A features a 13MP AI camera with f/2.2 aperture enclosed inside the pill-shaped module next to the LED flash. That being said, we saw Redmi release Redmi 8A Dual with a dual-camera setup. So we can still hope for the Redmi 9A Dual. For the selfies, there is a 5MP camera on the top, which is enclosed within the waterdrop type notch.
The Redmi 9A packs a Li-Po 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging support and comes with a USB Type-C port for charging. The phone is running on the new Android 10, with the MIUI at the end. The phone also supports AI Face Unlock.
